For an adventure ride that puts a whole new spin on things and is like nothing you’ve every experienced before, you have to give Zorbing a go.

Zorbing (also known as sphereing) is the sport of rolling down a hill at speed inside a giant inflatable ball. The Zorb is an 11 foot (3.5 metre) high inflatable sphere which you ride inside (a person zorbing is called a zorbonaut). Two feet of air protect you from the ground as you Zorb down the hill at speeds of up to 50 kilometres (31 miles) per hour.

There are two types of zorb rides: harness and hydro. In the harness ride you are securely harnessed inside the Zorb for a wild ride down the hill. Once you start rolling down the hill, you feel a strange sensation of weightlessness and watch the ground and sky go spinning past. The Hydro ride has no harness and water is thrown in so that you (and a friend or two) can slip, slide and spin inside the Zorb all the way down the hill. In winter, warm water is used for a lovely spa-type experience. Its like a cross between a waterside and a rollercoaster.

Zorbing was invented in New Zealand in the early 1990s and first set up in Rotorua on New Zealand’s North Island. Since then Zorb has rolled into England, the mountains of Norway, the middle of Sweden, the Gold Coast in Australia, the alpine hills of Switzerland, to China the USA (Smoky Mountains) and Argentina.

So if your after a crazy, adrenaline-filled adventure ride, try the Zorb experience.

Endless sun, pristine beaches, and monster waves. Hawaii, the home of surfing, is America’s surfing Mecca, and one of the premiere surfing destinations the world over.

Hawaii has great surf most places, but if you want to call yourself a world class surfer you have to make it on the North Shore of Oahu. The North Shore covers almost 20 miles (32 kilometres) of beautiful open sandy beaches, including legendary beaches like Sunset Beach, Ehukai Beach, and Pupukea Beach, and where you will find the world famous Banzai Pipeline. A spot where the shallow water and coral shelf combine to create powerful tubular waves that resemble pipes, thus giving the place its name. For sheer adrenaline, power, beauty and danger, Pipeline has no equal. Surfing the Pipeline is an invigorating experience, but you’ll have to wait in line to ride some of the incredibly huge waves that break on these shores. And if the surf’s up, beware! The Pipeline at full strength is unforgiving, even for the pros.

If you’ve never surfed before and associate beaches with tanning and people watching, you might be inspired by the daredevils who tempt fate to take on these enormous masses of moving water. It might look difficult, however after a few lessons find a quieter beach with smaller surf and you’ll be able to check surfing in Hawaii off your list of things to experience in life.

On the other hand if you’re up for surfing action, but aren’t up for tackling the big Hawaiian waves yourself, head there in December to watch the spectacle of surfing when the best surfers in the world battle it out at Pipe Masters.

Experienced and beginner surfers alike lose themselves in the ebb and flow of the waves that crash against the shores of the Hawaiian Islands. More than just the dizzying feeling you get as you climb out of the rolling waters, the experience of surfing in Hawaii brings your soul closer to the islands. Surfing in Hawaii is an athletic, spiritual and cultural activity, which combine to create a quintessential Hawaiian experience.

This desert metropolis not only lives up to its legendary status, it blows it out of the water! Nestled in the Nevada desert – only an hour flight from Los Angeles – Las Vegas is an awe-inspiring city! Emerging from the desert 100 years ago this fantasy land has since expanded immensely with over 39 million visitors a year. People visit Las Vegas to experience five star hotels and restaurants, glamorous casinos, entertainment and even to get married.

Start your trip to Vegas by touring the strip (Las Vegas Boulevard) and let the sights and sounds widen your eyes and ring in your ears. You may be nearly overwhelmed if you try to see everything all at once. The Hotel casinos are of the magnitude you can only imagine – each occupying acres of land, and each one more spectacular than the previous. Outlandish, opulent, elegant, garish – all words used to describe them. Check out what each casino has to offer – you’ll be amazed. Gambling – the main thrust of the city: millions upon millions of slot machines – from the minute you step off the plane!

However Vegas is not just about gambling – it’s about entertainment. There’s shows, reviews, latest artists, <a href="http://www.facebooksmileysemoticons.com/music-notes-hearts-and-other-symbols-in-facebook-status-and-chat/" alt="music symbols for facebook” title=”music symbols for facebook”>musicians, and magicians. Theatre and shows play a huge part – attracting top acts and artists from around the world. If your into shopping there is a plethora of fashion boutiques, souvenir shops, department stores. Las Vegas is also known for its vibrant culinary scene and array of delectable restaurant offerings. Those with a wild side will be faced with a number of temptations, so be ready for anything from a karaoke challenge to an impromptu wedding.

So whether you want to try your luck at becoming a high roller in Las Vegas or just grab a seat at the Bellagio or the Venetian and watch the high rollers strut their stuff, either way, experiencing the energy, colour and non-stop entertainment of Las Vegas is a must.

For the ultimate adrenaline rush there is nothing quite like jumping out of a plane for a sky dive.

A typical jump involves jumping out of an airplane (but sometimes a helicopter or even the gondola of a balloon), from about 4000 metres (around 13,000 feet) altitude, and free-falling for 30 seconds to 1 minute before activating the parachute and floating back down to earth.

If you’ve never parachuted before, try a tandem skydive with a trained and experienced instructor who can help you make that first jump.

In the United States over three million people sky dive every year. So if you want a truly exhilarating experience that gives you the ultimate rush, give skydiving a go. Is it something you want to experience?

If you want to take in the spectacle of Sydney harbour and the city skyline, the best view is from the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Since 1998, BridgeClimb has made it possible for tourists to climb the bridge which stands 134 metres (429.6 feet) above the harbour. Tours run throughout the day, from dawn to dusk, and night climbs are also available. Groups of up to 12 climbers are provided with protective clothing appropriate to the prevailing weather conditions and are given an orientation before climbing. During the climb, climbers are secured to the bridge by a wire lifeline. Each climb begins on the eastern side of the bridge and ascends to the top. At the summit, the group crosses to the western side of the arch for the descent. Each climb is a three-and-a-half-hour experience.

Climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge gives you an idea of its size and magnitude and provides wonderful views of the city, the Sydney Opera House, the harbour and the Bridge itself beneath your feet. From the summit the view extents from the coast line to the east to the Blue Mountains in the west. Climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge truly is a breathtaking experience.
